Christmas eve face and nails

I can't believe it's finally Christmas eve. Sooo exciting. I'm about to embark on an evening of Christmas movies, mince pies and wine. Happy days.

For today's post I just thought I'd show you my face and nails of the day.

what I'm wearing..

Bourjois healthy mix foundation
Rimmel Match Perfection pressed powder
MUA eyebrow pencil in Brunette
UD Buck for eyebrows
Mac Constructivist Paint pot
UD Half Baked
Green No7 eyeshadow (see below)
Maybelline Cat eyes mascara
ELF contour kit
Jane Iredale 245 karat gold dust in Rose Gold
Mac lipstick in Snob

I used a green eyeshadow from a No7 quad I got as a Secret Santa gift. The quad is gorgeous I thought you'd like to see.

The colours are beautiful jewel toned colours. They are all un named but I used the top left colour in my crease and lower lash line.

I also tried out the Jane Iredale shimmer powder that came in this months Joliebox. I'm very impressed.

On to nails...

Snowflake ring finger mani.

Products used:

Sally Hansen double duty base and top coat
Elf Light Red
MUA green polish shade 13
Elf white polish
Dotting tool for snowflake.

It's not the neatest but hey, I'm just learning. I think this makes for very cute festive fingers.

All that's left to say is that I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas with lots of love and happiness.

MUA Extreme Felt Eyeliner

I'm a big fan of the MUA range. So when I was in looking for their new Eyelid Primer (which wasn't in stock in my local Superdrug) I picked up the new Extreme Felt Eyeliner.

The one I got was the last one, so I don't know what other colours, if any, are available.

The pen itself looks like any other felt tip pen. You remove the cap and it has a pointed felt tip. Pretty simple really. The tip is pretty flexible, but not so much that you can't get a decent line. From the swatches below you can get an idea of the thickness of the line it produces and also how easily the pen can be manoeuvred across your skin. It doesn't stick or drag unlike some other eyeliners I've tried.

The colour payoff is also pretty good. It's not a deep dark black on first contact, but if you go over it a second time it looks amazing, and once it's dried, it doesn't smudge. It's not at all waterproof though so that maybe something to watch.

The only minor problem I found with the liner was that there didn't seem to be a steady flow of product from the pen to the nib, and I found the tip sometimes got a bit dry so I had to replace the cap and shake the pen a bit. Not a major problem, just a small annoyance. For £2 this is an extremely great eyeliner and one which I would happily repurchase.

Tiny Little Haul

Hey lovelies

Hope you have all recovered from the New Year frolics and are feeling nice and refreshed after a little break. I go back to work tomorrow and back to the mundanity of everyday life. And of course as I already mentioned, BACK TO THE GYM! Aaaah!

Just thought I'd share my tiny little shopping haul from the last few days. Enjoy.

1. Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder.
I really needed a new everyday bronzer as my Hoola is hitting pan so I picked up this Bourjois one, I really like the fact that it's quite light so no orange patches and there is some really subtle flecks of shimmer in it which add a lovely highlight to the face.

2. Barry M nail paints in Bright Purple & Grey.
Believe it or not, these are my first Barry M nail paints and so far I'm very impressed. Have been wearing the bright purple since New Years Eve and have not had to do any touch ups! I think this is incredible. I love the colour but I'm gonna take it off and re-paint in grey tonight.

3. Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express Mascara.
I only purchased this today so haven't had the chance to try this out, but I have heard good things about it. Hopefully it will live up to the praise but I shall do a review on this very soon!

4. MUA Eyedust in shade 6.
I haven't tried any of the MUA eye dusts yet so picked up this lovely colour. It's a kind of greyish purple but has tiny pink and green shimmery reflects in it. It swatches beautifully so I am very keen to actually try it out.

Have you guys tried any of these products?

Love

MUA

Hey everyone.
I know I am late on the bandwagon with this stuff but my local Superdrug has only JUST started stocking the MUA range. If you by any chance have not heard of MUA it's Superdrug's own make up brand where each item costs only £1!! YES ONE POUND!!

So I'd seen lots of blogs and YT vids on this and thought I'd try them out. Firstly I got 2 eyeshadows.

Shade 14 Left, shade 7 Right

And just be awkward it's back to front in this pic!! As you can see shade 7 is a lovely pearl green colour and 14 is a gorgeous slate gray colour. Both shadows are extremely pigmented and the colour is soo buildable. I used these two colours to create my FotN look in my previous post.
So as I was so impressed by these two products, I hot footed it back to Superdrug to pick up some more goodies!!

So, clockwise from top left we have shade 10, shade 20, shade 8 and eyeliner shade 4.
