Bourjois 10 Hour Sleep Effect Foundation

A few weeks back I told you that I'd purchased Bourjois 10 Hour Sleep Effect foundation. This is the 1st Bourjois foundation I've tried. Lot's of you had raved about the Healthy Mix foundation so I thought I'd give this one a try...
sorry for the bad lighting in the photo :\

I've been wearing this almost everyday for the past couple of weeks now and I can definitely say I am a fan. It's a really light formulation and blends really easy into your skin. I only need maximum 3 pumps to cover my full face. It gives a lovely dewy glow without looking shiny. The coverage is medium, but buildable. I will happily wear this all day on it's own but if I want fuller coverage I sometime layer it with something else, like Maybelline 24hr Superstay.

It doesn't last all day, but it doesn't claim to.

It does however give a lovely fresh appearance to the skin, which is the aim...10 hours sleep. It's also enriched with vitamins and minerals to help your skin and it does have a really nice scent, but nothing too overpowering.

This is something I will definitely repurchase. Have you guys tried this foundation?

Good Things

Since Boot's are currently offering 3 for 2 on all skincare products, I thought it would be extremely rude of me not to take a wander in and see what I could get my little mitts on. I thought it would be a great excuse to pick up some new (to me) products to try and shift some of the dryer patches on my face. So, I opted for Good Things.

Good Things are a skin care company who's products are free from Parabens, Sodium Laureth Sulphates, animal ingredients and mineral oils. Each product contains superfruit extracts which makes each product smell gorgeous. Their products are also specially designed for young skin.

Here's what I got...

Dream Cream Night Cream with Fig & Avocado

Face the Day Moisturiser with Goji Berry and Papaya

Stop That Spot Clearing Gel with Papaya and Acai.

I only picked up these products on Sunday so cannot give an in depth review of these products yet, but once I've had a good go of them I shall definitely let you know my thoughts.

Have you guys tried any of the Good Things products? What do think and/or recommend?

Botanics Face Brush

I am the type of person who can get really over excited about a product. As soon as I hear a good review on something, I want to try it straight away. So when I read Fee's blogpost about the Botanics Face Brush, I had to have it.

I'd never have thought of using a brush to wash my face. I would have assumed it would be harsh against my skin and perhaps even painful. So I was very surprised to feel how soft the bristles on the Botanics face brush were. Also, the brush has a really deep pile, which also adds to the softness of the brush.

I've been using this along with my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Cleanser and within a week, I have really noticed a difference.

I dampen the brush with warm water and add one pump of the cleanser and brush this all over my face. The cleanser doesn't lather well but it spreads out nicely. I swirl this about on my face for a few minutes then rinse it off. I can feel straight away that my skin feels nice and soft, not tight at all. I'd imagine that this would also be great for the circulation on your face as well.

I've still found some dry patches on my face, but I've always had this and maybe this just isn't abrasive enough, but then again, I wouldn't want to use a really abrasives brush on my face twice a day. This is a really lovely soft brush and it's really kind on your face. Already I have noticed the reduction of blackheads on my nose and chin and I definitely reckon it's down to the brush.

I have never used the Clarisonic face cleanser; and for £180, I'm very happy to be part of the Manual Face Brush Club.

Have you guys tried the Botanics Face Brush?

Freebie Clinique Goodies

If you're a regular blog reader and you haven't heard about Glamour Magazine's Clinique giveaways then where have you been? I'm sure you've all seen plenty posts on this but thought I'd just share the items I got. I really wanted the All About Eyes moisturiser, but so must everyone else have as I couldn't find it anywhere. In fact, I really struggled to find anything other than the Take The Day Off Makeup Remover, Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss, Long Last Glosswear and the 7 Day Scrub Cream. So I only got 2, The Scrub Cream and The Long Last Glosswear.

I've used the 7 Day Scrub before and loved it. It's really gentle and does get rid of dry patches. I then opted for the lip gloss as, well, a girl can never have too many...

Did you guys take advantage of this offer?

I'm Still Here...

Phew, thankfully for me, I have not fallen off the face of the Earth. I've just had a mega busy week and I've not had a chance to blog. It's for this reason that I really should start blogging in bulk so that I have something to post even if I don't have a lot of time to write. It's just that I never know what I'm going to want to write about until I sit down to write.

This week was my 23rd Birthday.

I had such a lovely day, and the celebrations were week long. I love when that happens. Last Saturday, my boyfriend took me away for the day, bought me lots of nice things and took me to dinner. I kinda OD'd in Lush, but who cares!! Haha. I will do a post soon to let you all see what I got.
On my actual Birthday, Wednesday, my workmates gave me a lovely card and a Lush gift set (they know me so well) and we all went out for a yummy lunch to the Chinese buffet nearby. At night time, all my lovely friendlings popped by with some more little treats for me and we had a good old gossip. It was really nice, and a few glasses of Champagne definitely helped.
Finally, today I am going to have a little cocktail day in Glasgow with my girlies. I really am looking forward to it as we haven't been out together for a while. I shall share a few pictures with you all very soon.

I hope these kind of posts don't bore you all, but I love reading about what other people get up to so thought I'd share. I will be back with some hauls and reviews very soon.

Now, off to start my beautifying regime for today's frolics...
